About Africa Day
Africa Day commemorates the founding of the Organisation of African Unity
(now known as the African Union) on 25 May 1963. It aims to celebrate
African unity.
The Africa Day Conference is hosted by Wesgro in Partnership with the Department of the Premier of the Western Cape, the Department
of Agriculture, and Mazars SA.
The event forms part of the Africa Week celebrations programme for 2023 and aims to bring together business people across Africa
to learn, share their experiences and network with local businesses from the Western Cape, thereby promoting intra-Africa trade and
investment.
Themed, Energy Transition for equitable, resilient, and sustainable Africa, Africa day will host Consul Generals, Ambassadors,
key stakeholders and business delegations from Western Cape, and other African countries.
